If you have a right-of-use lease/asset where there is a modification to the lease terms, you should follow these steps to enter the details in AssetAccountant:
From the "Actions" menu, select "Refinance Lease":
This will show the side panel that lets you enter the required information before generating the refinance lease modification:
From this screen you should choose the date to apply the modifications from and whether these should apply at the start or the end of the day.
Then press the Generate Schedule button (note that the system will display the existing schedule prior to any changes).
Make any changes to the details required including:
- the lease payment schedule
- the IBR
- any annual adjustments
Then click "Generate Schedule".
The next screen will show you the impact of this and ask if you want to adjust the value of the asset by ticking the "Adjust for Accounts" option at the bottom:
Click this option if it applies and then "Refinance Lease"
