This situation is typically due to a Sage Intacct setup issue or change that you, or someone else has made since your last journal. Maybe inadvertently.
Here are you a few suggestions for what might be happening:
- It's possible that the dimension in Sage Intacct has no 'members' (no current projects).
- It's possible that the Sage Intacct entity you're connecting to from AssetAccountant has no members.
- It's possible that the Sage Intacct User that you use to connect to from AssetAccountant doesn't have full permissions on the affected dimension(s). If this is so, you need a manager with appropriate Sage Intacct management permissions to enable access for you.
The most likely reason that your dimensions in Sage Intacct are not flowing through to journals you create in AssetAccountant is that you or someone on your team has not correctly, or completely synced Dimensions and Classifications between Sage Intacct and AssetAccountant.
This is the first place to check and double check - it is very important you have setup Dimensions properly and mapped them to the correct and intended values.
Go to Register Settings > Classifications and select 'Edit'.
If you need Dimensions to sync with AssetAccountant journals, you MUST map AND sync each one.
Important considerations to check:
- Are some Dimensions mandatory in Sage Intacct settings?
- Have you or one of your team changed OR deleted Dimensions since your last journal?
- Are you trying to post to a deleted Dimension? (this will create an error)
It is important you also check individual assets included in the journal and their history for clues why you are not seeing what you expect. You should check the "Description" field and have a look for changes made by yourself, or someone else since the last journal. It may be revaluations, Classification changes, adjustments, etc. that are causing differences between what you expect to see and the output AssetAccountant is correctly displaying.
If you discover one or more of the issues above in your previously posted journal, it is recommended that you delete that journal, make the above fix(es), then repost the journal for the same period.
