These are the steps to add a quantity to an existing asset:
- From the View Assets page, select the asset you would like to add/ set a quantity to,
- Select 'Actions',
- Select 'Add Quantity',
- Select the Date, enter the Quantity amount, and the quantity Units (i.e type, optional),
- Select 'Set Quantity'
The above steps are for adding a quantity to an existing asset.
To add a quantity to a new asset you are entering into AssetAccountant, you have that option available to you when either creating new assets via the interface, or when importing assets via the import function.
If you need to change the quantity of an existing asset, you will first need to reverse the 'Set Quantity' transaction and then use 'Add Quantity' function.
